AFN Annual General Assembly 2018 Night at The SportsBar

The BC Assembly of First Nations is proud to be hosting the upcoming AFN Annual General Assembly that is being held fromJuly 24th-26th in Vancouver, BC. We are planning a series of FREE Social and Cultural Events for delegates and major sponsors (Friendship Circle, Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Signature Sponsors only) that will showcase local First Nations art, music, food, fashion and culture.

NOTE: Gala table purchasers are not eligible for this reception

Tuesday, July 24th is the Night at The SportsBar at Rogers Arena. The Aquilini Group, and NHL Alumni Dave Babych, Kirk McLean, and Dennis Kearns are pleased to host AFN delegates from across Canada at the Rogers Arena SportsBar where they will be treated to a high-energy experience in Vancouver’s longest bar featuring entertainment by Squamish Nation’s Tewanee Joseph’s local rock band Bitterly Divine. This event includes a cash bar and complimentary appetizers. 100% of proceeds will go to the BCAFN.

The SportsBar is located on the upper level of Rogers Arena, on West Georgia Street.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Walking

Walk east on Georgia Street. Stay on the north side of the street (the mountains are north) and one block east of Beatty Street, you will see both BC Place Stadium and Rogers Arena. The SportsBar is located at 99 West Georgia.

Transit

Take the Expo Line to the Stadium/Chinatown station. When you exit the train, take the Beatty Street (upstairs) exit. Walk south on Beatty (left as you leave the fare gate) to Georgia Street. And then stay on the north side of Georgia Street and walk one block to the SportsBar at 99 West Georgia.

Driving

There will be free parking in the underground parking lot of Rogers Arena, 800 Griffiths Way. You can access 800 Griffiths Way either from Expo Boulevard or Pacific Boulevard.
